Keri Landeche, The Jon Scharfenberger Students for Life of America Northeast Regional Coordinator
Keri Landeche graduated magna cum laude from Franciscan University in 2015 with a B.S. in Marketing and a minor in Management. She has been an advocate for the pro-life movement since high school. The seed for her passion for life was planted after attending her first March for Life in 2010. It was in college that this seed grew as she attended the National Students for Life Conference with her Students for Life group on campus. This left a lasting impression and high regard for the work and passion of the Students for Life team. After this, she became the Franciscan Students for Life Pregnancy Resource Center leader where she helped with the local Pregnancy Resource Center’s banquet planning. Later in college, she pursued this passion more and participated in Students for Life’s Missionaries for Life program. During this time, she was able to work with the Pregnant on Campus Initiative at SFLA, work with CareNet Pregnancy Center, and work for a pro-life Congressman.
At Franciscan, she was also involved with Women’s ministries and served as the lead for the Women’s Retreat, “Capture my Heart”. She sees the pro-life movement as a defender of true femininity as well as for the preborn. Also, she spent a semester abroad in Austria which broadened her experiences and strengthened her desire to be an advocate for life in the U.S. As a senior, she worked for both Aim Pregnancy Center, the local PRC for Steubenville, and for Franciscan Admissions. She could not think of a better way to combine her passion for life and love for working with youth better than by being an SFLA Regional Coordinator. As a New Orleans native, she looks forward to bringing the pro-life message from the Big Easy to the Big Apple as she works alongside an amazing team to abolish abortion.
